Nodem is a collaborative movement of clinicians, engineers, and UX designers driven to reimagine the provider and patient experience in value-based care. Our tools reduce clinician workload, deepen patient engagement, and improve both quality and cost outcomes in concert with evolving CMS innovation models.
We use modular, AI-powered tools built on Google Cloud to support care delivery, reporting, and billing in real-world settings. Every module is created with extensibility and precision in mind - designed to help providers meet evolving quality benchmarks while thriving in team-based, data-informed models of care.
We collaborate directly with physicians, NPs, PAs, and therapists to co-design tools that fit seamlessly into their workflows. From intake to follow-up, our system supports population health goals, CMS-aligned outcomes, and the operational demands of modern, risk-bearing organizations.
EchoChart, Nodem's flagship product, is a real-time AI charting assistant that listens during patient visits, creates structured SOAP notes, offers clinical feedback, and recommends compliant billing codes—all before the visit ends.
Designed to reduce burnout and support MIPS, ACOs, and CMS reporting programs, EchoChart helps providers spend less time clicking and more time caring—while improving accuracy and value-based outcomes.
As the first module in the Nodem EHR Suite (NES), each release will continue to support interoperability, CMS-aligned metrics, and scalable documentation tools for every care setting.
Nodem was founded by Steve and Tanvir, a SIGINT Marine and a Nurse Practitioner, after co-founding and operating a fast-growing mental health clinic together. Over nearly four years, they tested every platform they could find and built countless workarounds to fill the gaps, refusing to settle for bloated, insecure vendor solutions. Their clinic thrived because those workarounds kept care at the center. But it became clear that the system itself needed to change. Nodem is their answer: a modular platform shaped by real workflows, designed in partnership with the people who use it. The core team joined soon after and helped turn that vision into a working system, fast. Every member of the team shares a commitment to rethinking what's possible in healthcare.
Steve Bumbera is a SIGINT Marine, computer scientist, and cross-functional builder with a growing clinical background. As a CNA pursuing nursing, Steve is helping shape Nodem into a company where healthcare and engineering truly work together.
Tanvir Shagar is a nurse practitioner and serial entrepreneur with multiple successful healthcare exits. He co-founded Adapt Psychiatry with Steve and has launched and scaled clinics across a variety of care models. As Nodem’s CCO and product owner, Tan bridges clinical expertise with engineering execution to bring healthcare tools to life, fast.
